Create Your First AI Agent
Follow this comprehensive guide to create, train, and deploy your first AI support agent.
1. Create a New Bot
From your dashboard, click "Create New Bot". Give your bot a descriptive name like "Customer Support Bot" or "Sales Assistant". Choose an AI model - GPT-4 is recommended for best results, but you can also use Claude 3 or Gemini Pro.
2. Configure Basic Settings
Set your bot's personality and tone. Choose from friendly, professional, casual, or technical. Write a system prompt that defines how your bot should behave, what information it should provide, and any guidelines it should follow.
3. Upload Training Data
Upload documents about your products, services, or support policies. Supported formats include PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, and CSV. You can also add URLs from your website or knowledge base for the bot to crawl and learn from.
4. Add Q&A Pairs
Manually add common questions and their answers. This helps your bot provide accurate responses to frequently asked questions. You can import Q&A pairs from a CSV file or enter them one by one.
5. Test Your Bot
Use the playground to have a few realistic customer conversations with your bot. Ask the questions your customers are likely to ask, review whether the answers are clear and grounded, and improve your knowledge or instructions where needed.
6. Customize Your First Surface
If you are starting with the website widget, customize the colors, welcome message, and launcher behavior to match your brand. If you are starting with another channel, review the integration settings and any surface-specific handoff or presentation options.
7. Deploy Your Bot
Once you are satisfied with the testing, deploy your bot to the first surface your customers will use. Start with the website widget or connect another supported channel, then send a live test message to confirm the experience end to end.
